Cannot mount any USB flash drives via the gui

I have slackware 13 running great, everything is working fine, except for one problem, any window manager I use cannot mount USB Flash Drives, so i end up just opening a terminal and mounting it manually, but thats just annoying, the error i get is:
Code:
Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.22" (uid=1000 pid=26088 comm="exo-mount -n -h /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volum") interface="org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member="Mount" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0 destination="org.freedesktop.Hal" (uid=0 pid=3182 comm="/usr/sbin/hald --daemon=yes ")).
anybody know the problem?

Are the permissions set correctly for your user account? You should have hit "Up" when it asked about additional groups to add, which would have filled in the various group permissions to enable auto-mounting (as well as other functions).
