Cannot install Linux on HP laptop, getting all sorts of errors when tryining.

Hi guys,

I have a laptop (HP ENVY Notebook 15-ah000sa).

I want to install Linux on it I first wanted to install Ubuntu then Manjaro then Mint, I have also tried to install Pop-OS, and will all of them I have the same problem, the grub menu appears then when I press the install button does not matter if its safe graphics (not sure the) option the screen just goes black (but it is turned on).

I have another PC which I tried to install it, and it worked, so the USB is not an issue, I was wondering what could I possibly do, I think the problem might be with the BIOS settings, but I can't figure out what.

I have turned off secure boot. I have just checked the USB ports, and there are 3 3.0 ports and 1 2.0 port, and from some forums, some users recommended to use the 2.0 port, is that true?

I have managed to get through the installation process with some of them, but there are so many issues after adding parameters in the grub menu by pressing "e" on the installation option.

I have used parameters such as "nomadeset", "ACPI-off", "modeset=0", sometimes I have gone through to the installation menu, but after that, the computer would not boot on itself.

What could also be causing is the graphics card, but I am not sure about that either.

Have a look at the laptop: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04760012#AbT1

Any help is much appreciated, also let me know if you want me to add any other details which could help you!

please make sure, because that would have been my first suggestion.

please check if there's more options in bios that could help.

didn't you just say that every distro you tried just showed a black screen?

ah.
so it is working with nomodeset, and your real issue is that you cannot boot after install?
have you tried booting with nomodeset again?
