I'm having trouble installing Intel Graphics Installer 1.2.0 under Linux Mint 17.2 'Rafaela' Cinnamon x64. I know that it's not officially supporting this distro, but I've seen some success reports, so I started trying...
My laptop config:
Code:
Dell inspiron N5030
Intel GMA 4500MHD
Linux Mint 17.2 'Rafaela' Cinnamon x64
Intel Graphics Installer 1.2.0
I have fixed the GPG keys and have bypassed the distro codename verification.
Nevertheless I'm getting this:
Quote:
libegl1-mesa: Depends: libgl1-mesa-dri (=10.6.0-~intel1) but 10.1.3-0ubuntu0.4 is to be installed
I have tried every single guide on the forums, but none of them seem to work... Also I couldn't succeed at forcing intel lib over the Synaptic. It doesn't do anything when I pick the proper version... The system is clean install and is up-to-date.
P.S. Can this building-from-source article be used as a workaround? build-guide

Hi...
The lspci readout gives information concerning the various hardware devices your computer has, such as graphic chips, wireless and ethernet adapters, sound chips, etc. As you can see above, your system has an "Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller," which Mint is using the "i915" driver to provide you the graphics on your system. So, yes, the driver is preinstalled and you're good to go without any further action needed on your part.
