Unhappy Cannot Find Server message

Help Me!! I am a novice with computers. On scale of 1-10, 10 being very knowlegable, I'm probably a 3. I just got a laptop, Dell Latitude and when I go into my online banking or credit cards, I enter my user name but then on the next screen where I would enter my password states " This page cannot be displayed". On the bottom of the screen where it shows the Explorer symbol, it says Cannot Find Server - Microsoft ...
How can I fix this?
Thanks

What OS is installed on the laptop?

How are you connected to the network?
