Hi, I Just installed Yellow Dog Linux 6.1 on my PS3 (couldn't download the YDL 6.2 iso) and cannot get the wireless to work. I am having trouble obtaining the IP address.
In addition, I installed all the updates available as of 10/25/09 via ethernet cable hoping the action would resolve the problem but did not work. Do I have to update to Yellow Dog Linux 6.2? if so, Can someone please help me and guide me through the steps or post a link?

Please post the output of 'ifconfig' and 'iwconfig'.

Anyway, are you using network manager? if yes, try wicd. It is better and much easier.

ok so I'm running ubuntu and barely got the thing downloaded I'm that new to linux spoon feed me. I don't even know how to tell which version I'm running. but I managed this much. I cant connect to the internet with ubuntu on my ps3. here are the outputs of ifconfig
