cannot change mouse config
Please help!!
Okay, so I am running Mandrake 9.1 (bamboo) on a Sony VAIO portable with an internal PS2 mouse. One day I decided that it was very annoying using the trackpad all the time and I wanted to install an external mouse (generic two button, COM1). The "looking for new hardware" test didn't detect the mouse on startup, so I changed it manually to a COM1 in the mandrake control center. When I restarted I was left without a mouse to use at all in my Mandrake. I went as root to the /etc directory and I found confg files. The mouse is listed as PS2, but the graphical client of Mandrake will have none of it... What gives?? Thanx |

You have to change your mouse configuration in /etc/XF86Config-4.I think that the Mandrake program to configure X Window is called XFdrake or something verysimilar. ___________________________________ Be prepared.
