can you boot into linux redhat and post the contents in a code box for file
/boot/grub/memu.lst or it might be called /etc/grub.cfg ...its the file with rootnoverify in it...so if not found do a search with your filemanager search tool pls.

BTW it needs to either

root (hd0,4)
chainloader +1....or
rootnoverify (hd0,4)
chainloader +1

with gaps....assuming xp is on /dev/sda5

ok

pls boot up linux as post the contents of your grub config file in a code box.

2) also post the contents of /etc/fstab

3) also post the results of these commands pls
Code:
ls -al /dev/disk/by-uuid

su
fdisk -l

(or)
sudo fdisk -l
maybe xp is not the fifth partition?

secondly I and others need to know whats on all partitions.
