cannot boot into linux mint 14
 
install linux 14 on clean partition already have windows 8 it said it was successful until I rebooted and it does not show up to boot into. I have a ASUS M5A97 motherboard with 8 gigs memory. Please help

Is EFI enabled or disabled? Try disabling it and see if anything changes.
