cannot Add/remove software fedora 7


Hi I have just finished installing all the updates to fedora 7 and now when I go in as root amd go to the add remove software it starting Add/remove software then it just dissapears

any thoughts cheers

Several. You shouldn't be logging in as root; you should run the application as a user and respond to the password prompt. You can also try running on a command-line to see what the error is (/usr/bin/pirut). If all else fails, open a terminal session, "su -" to get a root prompt, and run "yum update".
