can u please?process name.


i have xkilled my desktop using "xkill"command and clicked on the desktop.
the desktop is lost now. so i have reboot the KDE every time.
so is there any process name for desktop?
i mean the desktop in my system with icons.?

thanks.

no no i am in GUI mode.i mean run level 5.
my desktop icons are crashed by xkill command i want to restore it back.

for restore the start menu panel the process name is "kicker"
same as what is the command for to desktop a restore?

Hm. Sorry but i am using Gnome ...

To find your process name, I'd suggest that u should look at /usr/bin ..

ls -l k*

I hope this helps.

there are too many command starting with k.i can not guess what i need can some body?

yes i figured it out.
it is too bad.
the command is kdesktop.
