Can send and receive email but not browse web on RH9?

Hi, why can I send and receive email but I can't browse the web? I am using Red Hat 9 and Konqueror and Mozilla.

Many thanks

in terminal type
su <- enter the root password
/sbin/iptables -L
post the output and be sure to disable all the firewall settings on the machine

Thanks for the reply, I have run the iptables command but the output doesn't look good...

[root@vetcomlinux etc]# /sbin/iptables -L
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o: init_module:
Device or resource busy
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o: insmod
ip_tables failed
iptables v1.2.7a: can't initialize iptables table `filter': iptables who?
(do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

Ooops, what is going on?!

After mucking up my installation quite well, I decided it was time to reformat and start again. I am sure what I had managed to do was fixable by someone with more Linux knowledge than me but I wanted to get on, so a reformat was in order.

Since reinstalling everything is a lot rosier. It turned out my problem was, was that I had specified the Primary DNS address in the Primary DNS address field - to me this sounds obvious. But, for reasons best known to the place where I work, I had to actually specify the Gateway address as the Primary DNS address and so the Secondary DNS became the Primary. Now I can browse the web and still send and receive emails - perfect!
