can not remote to server (neither intranet or internet)
 

Hi: I am sure this is not unique but I have been unable to find a solution anywhere in the archives. I have RedHat 9 up and working just great but I can not get remote logon to function. I tried SSH first then tried rlogon and telnet, nothing seems to work. I can ping the Linux box from the intranet (LAN) and can access the MySql server (running on the Linux server as well) both from the intranet and internet. I can FTP from the server and have used RedHat up2date to make sure the whole thing is current. I have no firewall (I'm behind a router) and there are no entries in the host.deny. I am sure I am doing something stupid by can't seem to figure out just wat it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Try to stop iptables to see if it is your firewall settings. "service iptables stop" if this is it then modify your firewall settings.
