Can mount a floppy but...

I can mount a floppy drive with mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /hey command,
but when I try to read that floppy(hey subdirectory) it appears as if there are no files on that diskette

When I return to windows I can't read this particullar diskette anymore.

It appears as if Linux had reformatted diskette in ext2 format

What is happening?

thank you
