Web developers need IE, if web developers want to use Linux they need to be able to use IE with it, so is it possible without spending cash on CrossOver Office?

Or how about the fact that web developors NEED to get away from IE standards? There is a growing number of users that are getting away from IE, like FireFox, Mozilla, and Opera. It's just a matter of time, I think, before these other browsers catch up to IE. The number of users are growing! And yes, I realize this doesn't answer your question.
and didnt the homeland security comm recently announce that IE is insecure, and people should use quote "anything else". Were ready to ditch it here on the desktops at my work.... malware delivered thru IE has gotten WAY outta hand...
Ok we in the army use IE on all our machines unfortunately.... goes to tell you how good the peeps in Washington are on top of things.... and we just finally got a patch for ADODB.stream? ROCK ON M$ and Bush! and the Chief of Staff and the NSA! wooohoooo!
I think you can use wine, or there was a linux port of the earlier 5x or 4x versions of IE to linux by MS i think.....
