Can I use Fedora for RHCE preparation & book for RHCE?

Dear Linux Friends,

I have 2 questions to ask you.

1. I am going to prepare for RHCE. Can I prepare for RHCE on Fedora 11 (Leonidas) box which I am currently using? One senior member "custangro" has recommended CentOS. I guess I had no problem preparing for RH-033 module on Fedora. I would like to know your opinions on Fedora 11 too and possible problems that I may face in studying higher modules (153 & RH253). Please post your views.

2. Please suggest me a good book for RHCE preparation(I know its practical exam, but still I would like to have a good book for RHCE preparation).

Thanks.

Yes you can use Fedora 11 for RHCE preparation but you will find quite a number of differences between it and RHEL5. As a result I strongly recommend using Centos 5.3.

Best book at the moment is probably Michael Jang's Red Hat Certified Engineer Linux Study Guide 5th edition.

Yep, another vote for CENTOS. It is the same as RHEL (except free). Fedora will have differences...
