Can I upgrade RH 9.0 by myself?

I am quite new to linux.

I plan to use Redhat to set up a dedicated server by the early of 2004. Therefore I install RH 7.3 in my home computer in August this year in order to learn how to manage a dedicated server. Now I almost know how to manage a dedicated server.

It's time to rent a dedicated server now. However, it's like a shock to me - RH 9.0 is finished. I really don't want to spend another 6 months to learn other os like freeBSD again.

I have a question:

1. Is it possible that some other companies will keep updating RH 9.0??

2. If I want to use RH 9.0 in the future. How can I keep updating RH 9.0 by myself?

You could look into the Fedora project,
Or purchase Red Hat Enterprise Linux which is where the focus of the Red Hat company is being shifted.
