While I can't be certain, I'd say that is going to be an almost definite no. Fedora is up to FC6 now, probably time to back up the files and do a new install.

A clean install would be better than an upgrade because FC1 is quite dated now and trying to upgrade it to FC6 will probably cause a lot of headaches for you.

I also heard CentOS 3 is the same OS as RHEL3 and Fedora1 and is still updateable

It's simple, I'd rather not do another install to obtain all the changes made by CentOs,I would rather just update what I have as the question stated to keep FC1

Maybe, but then you would still be updating to an obsolete version.

CentOS is a clone of RHEL. Fedora tends to LEAD RHEL in terms of features, so I am not sure how this applies.

Ditto the advice to simply install something more modern. If you have thing in FC1 that you cannot part with, then maybe set up dual boot.

Thank all of you for your replies,This old IBM P3 runs terrifick with RHEL3 on 0drive and FC1 on 1drive alsoWin-ME on 2drive,It likes flavor 2.4,it doesent like anything 2.6 due to its onboard video no recognized ,only allows text install and I prefer a gui. I,m sure there is a workaround but I have FC6 on a newer box running well.I just want to get the most out of 2.4 on this box because I have it connected to 2 twins of it with 2 terrabytes of drive storage that I dont like messing with,I'm a photographer.thnks,Ron
