Can I re-use an anacanda.ks file to load another server?

I just loaded one server, and want to load another server in the same exact way, just with a different name and IP. Can I somehow use the anacanda.ks from the old server if i change the IP and name in that file?

Generally I just do a base minimal install and then rsync it over... you can use the anaconda.ks to setup the new server though you just boot it with the commandline:

linux ks=http://domain.tld/anaconda.ks

(can also add it to a floppy, hd, etc... but generally if it has network connectivity its easiest to just put it up on a website)

Hi,

If you change the machine specific entries that are in your anaconda.ks file, you can.

Just to make sure: List of all the options, in case you need to check.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

The link in post #3 also explains how to make the Kickstart File Available (chapter 6). 3 options are discussed.

Hope this helps.
