Can i open a linux deb file with windows?
Can i open a linux deb file with windows? Im wanting to put some software onto my usb stick from a linux mint machine and be able to open it on windows. Hear that the 7 zip archive software will allow me to run the deb file extension on my windows pc is this correct? if not is it even possible to do this??

Highly doubtful
Some linux software can run in Cygwin in Windows, that's probably your only option. What software are you wanting to run?

Strictly speaking, any file can be opened. After that, it depends on what you want to do with it.
If you want to install any of the content of a deb file on a Windows host, it will almost certainly not make sense. There is very little likelihood that any Windows tool know how to break down the contents of a deb file in anything like the way it was intended.

You can use AnytoISO software and extract the contents of debian package in windows very easily.
