I am a still a and I am doing my best at trying to learn how to work with varied aspects of mdk 9.1 linux. As such, I have recently been trying to do the so called simple task of managing my themes, backgrounds, icons, and such. I the process of those SIMPLE TASKS I discovered being able to change the splash screens in many places.

One place of particular importance, at the moment, is the log in or final boot in splash screen. While KDE Control CXenter has a mamger for choosing s[lash screens, there weren't too many choices. So I downloaded ksplah/ml from http://www.shadowcom.net/Software/ksplash-ml/ and I guess I am somewhat naive or supid because I cannot figure out how to make a different spalsh screen use the ksplahs/ml engine and such. In fact, I cannot determine how to find the engine.

The only reason I am interested in learning theses things is because of my findong some other s[lash screens that for whatever reason will not work in the KDE Control Center Splash Screen manager, but the ksplah/ml ones do. So if someone is able to help me or teach me how to merge the non-ml splash screens with the ml splash screens I will be greatly thankful.

Can anyone help me?
