Can a Logitech Deluxe Quickcam for Notebooks be compatible with slackware linux?

I'm thinking about buying a Logitech Deluxe Quickcam for Notebooks. I've heard Logitech webcams work best with Linux. I have slackware Linux but I'm not sure if this particle cam will work. I can't find much info on it. Is there a driver I would be able to install for it to be compatible? Just don't want to waste 20 bucks.

I have a logitech quickcam PN:861405-0000 and it works good with linux, you will need to install the gspca-module.

Could you give me a link for the logitech quickcam PN:861405-0000 ? I tried to look it up but I can't find it, and I'd like to get the same to make sure it will work.

Most newer cameras are uvc-compliant, and should work with the uvc drivers, see here:
