GOD DAMN IT I CAN HEAR MY CDS IN LINUX MAN
I can't believe it,
It renames the hole cd with right spelling and everything is going ALRIGHT .

Now I can hear Avril Lavigne singing my hole world .
Please help me, I have just installed pink tie 9 and cant hear audio cd's like some people above have mentioned.. i can hear the test sound and it can find my sound card alright.. why cant i hear my cd's??

If your problem is just "hearing" the music but everything else is OK (eg. equalizer graphics will still jump up and down, the song progress meter still moves, etc.) check that your audio cable from the CD-ROM drive is connected to your sound card. Also check that your CD Volume equalizer is not muted (kmix in KDE, if using gnome try what Anmar posted).
If the CD isn't even being "read" properly (ie. no tracks listed in your player, etc.), make sure that you have configured the program properly to find your CD mount points.
checking for libasound headers version >= 0.9.0... not present.
configure: error: Sufficiently new version of libasound not found.
