can't open web pages after 'pon' in xubuntu

i installed xubuntu 6.06 on my computer recently
and tried to connect to the internet
using pppconfig connecting to the ISP
the dialup is completed but i still can't open any web pages
through firefox.

If you have managed to connect successfully to the ISP service then you also need to set the DNS addresses provided by your isp in /etc/resolv.conf to enable name resolution.

thanks "Tiger" i managed to get the connection working
by changing the DNS type from static to Dynamic in pppconfig....
