Every time I try to go online, I get the message "Server not found: Firefox can't find the server at en.us.acer.yahoo.com." My netbook, a refurbished Acer Aspire AOA 110-1831, arrived last Friday, and I was able to get on line for a few days, although on the first try I would usually get an error message, then be able to open Firefox on the second try. The Acer is plugged into the same router as my desktop computer.
I finally got on the phone with an Acer technician, something that I was beginning to believe was impossible. He had me click on this and that, and told me that I had a bad networking card. I'm to return the netbook for a replacement.
Since I'm the newest of newbies on Acer and Linux, I'm sure I'll be back with more questions when my new netbook arrives.
Well, glad that things are looking up. If you have any problems with Linux, then search google first, but post back here if you can't find the answer. I'm certain you will find the solution here.
