Can't find kernel-sourcexxxx.rpm on the cd!

I am looking on the first CD in /redhat/rpms where all the other rpms are but im still not seeing it. I'm using redhat9 kernel 2.4.20-8

Also, what EXACTLY do i do with the rpm once I locate it?

Thank you.

You can get the kernel source from:

www.kernel.org

"Also, what EXACTLY do i do with the rpm once I locate it?"

It depends on what your goal is. Do you intend to compile a new kernel? Do you intend to compile a program which needs to reference the kernel headers? Do you intend to create version 0.1 of Zb7ix?

If you can't fidn it, you ca download it from any RH mirror, for example
ftp://ftp.esat.net/mirrors/ftp.redha....20-8.i386.rpm (warning: 37MB)

When it's located/downloaded, double-click on the package to install it. Then you can compile it, is it the reason you'd liek to have it?
