First I would like to thank those who provide and maintain this forum and accepted my registration.
I have an XP PC which used to run Fedora in a dual boot arrangement. I had it refurbished, with an extra hard drive. Now, so far, it only uses XP, but my Linux data is preserved in two partitions, one, /boot, is ext3 and easy to access, but the other is LVM and I can't yet get at it yet.
I am running Knoppix from a cd, and here is some of the output I get (it's obvious that /dev/hdc3 is what I want):

I tried lots of approaches from suggestions on the internet, and this looked the most promising.
