Unfortunately, I can't help you. After about an hour trying to troubleshoot gnome-bluetooth and blueman, I decided to throw graphical front-ends away and try to transfer files using obexfs. After a few more hours of struggling with the terminal and searching the Internet, I am still unable to get files transfered over bluetooth between two computers. However, I can transfer files between my phone and a few other devices over Bluetooth without a problem. My advice is to just save yourself the headache and use a flash drive, or setup FTP/Samba/NFS on your home LAN and do it that way.

Anyone else who knows more than me is welcome to help.

I have solved my problem .I have enabled share file over bluetooth & receive files over bluetooth in "Personal File Sharing Preferences". Now I am happy.

Confirmed, works for Gnome with Nautilus. Kind of disappointing that they don't put a link to that in the UI for Bluetooth, as tansfering files between devices is a common task. However, this is not a complete solution IMO. What about those using Openbox/LXDE, or some other desktop/WM that doesn't have it's own setup tool? It would be nice to know which config files to edit replicate the results these results.
