Can't run .bin file on Ubuntu 12.10
As the subject says, my second dedicated server I own is being a royal pain when I try running this .bin file. My main problem is that when I try running the file, it says there's no file there which I know there is. FileZilla is updated and is using the same IP the ssh console is using as well as the console is cd'd into the proper dir. When I chmod the file, it does what it's supposed to do with no errors; but, when I try running that same exact file, it says it doesn't exist.
Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Note: I do know this is a executable, try for yourself. .bin file |
What architecture are you using? Looking at the first line in the notes for the HLDSUpdateTool read like the following.

The MOTD says this so I believe it's 64.
Ubuntu 12.10 (GNU/Linux 3.5.0-26-generic x86_64) I'll try installing ia32-libs and see if that fixes it. |
It is 64-bit. Do you have ia32-libs installed? If not see my post #2 for a link to instructions. Also you should read the beginning of that page for the HLDSUpdateTool.

Installed ia32-libs, working with shining colors. It did error a bit but from reading it I believe it's just because it isn't configured yet. Picture
Thanks a ton sag47! :) |
Oh and I know HLDSUpdateTool is getting eradicated from usage, it's been that way for a few months now. I just got HLDSUpdateTool since I have some experience with it and none with SteamCMD.
