Can't print HP 4550

I'm using RHEL4. The printer is in the network with it's own ip address.
I ran the config for the printer and set it up with network jetdirect.
When i send a test page to print i only get a blank page.
After that i try to print something else and nothing comes out.
I went to the browswer xx.xx.xx.xx:631 and i'm able to see the printer configuration menu, etc.
Here is the /var/log/cups/error_log for the blank test page (debub mode, the error part)

And, what does you GhostScript say when invoked from a command-line?
Is it segfaulting, too?

How did you install CUPS and ESP gs? Both originals from your
RedHat CDs or acquired somewhere else?

Cheers,
Tink

Well, for some reason your CUPS is using a GNU gs and
not the ESP one it should be using...

As to question #1: What has the connection of the printer
got to do with the preprocessing? :)

Just run
gs -v
and post the output...

Cheers,
Tink

Here is the output of gs -v

# gs -v
GNU Ghostscript 7.07 (2003-05-17)

Ok, so that's confirmed: you probably want to un-install
GNU gs, and re-install ESP gs. Try that, and see whether
CUPS will work ;}

I canīt remove Ghostscript 7.07 because it's giving dependencies problems

# rpm -e ghostscript-7.07-33
error: Failed dependencies:
libijs.so is needed by (installed) gimp-print-4.2.7-2.i386
ghostscript is needed by (installed) ghostscript-fonts-5.50-13.noarch
ghostscript is needed by (installed) hpijs-1.6-2.i386
ghostscript is needed by (installed) libgnomeprint22-2.8.0-3.i386
ghostscript >= 6.51-16 is needed by (installed) system-config-printer-0.6.116.4-1.i386

Can i try to install ESP gs without removing GNU gs and make it work?

Thanks,
javiergt

No idea what RH EL4 will do if you do that, good luck.
