Can't post from my linux box
 

Hello. I can't post to any forum from linux. I am forced to use my windows installation for this post. I can write the new thread but not actually post it. After hitting the submit new thread it just sits there. This is with mozilla and konqueror. This also applies to sending emails through yahoo, excite, and msn.

Probably somthing dumb but I can't find it.

Under configure, java and javascript, is javascript turned on, just wondering .. I'm not sure on this answer. 1

They are enabled now, but no change. this is a brand new install. All default settings.

This is one VERY unusual problem! I've never heard of anything like it.
Maybe a bad install, that's all I can think of. Have you tried with galeon?

just installed it to try and it also did not work. It seems to be some kind of submition problem. All else seems to work fine.

Did you try it in a different environment, perhaps gnome? I'm running out of suggestions here, did you try epiphany or galeon?

My dad is having that same problem on his winxp box, under every account except his. We tried making everyone admins, enabled full java/javascript rights, uninstalled reinstalled java, uninstalled, reinstalled ie...nothing works.

This is of course completely unrelated to the solution, but I feel your pain man.

(I haven't yet managed to convince Dad to switch to linux, but I've made the switch!)
