can't place hard drive on the desktop? Fedora

Hi there,

I'm running KDE with Fedora.

I know how to add the Floppy and CD ROM drives, but how do I add the Hard Drive to the Desktop? In the Mount tool, I can't even see the Hard Drive!

I'm logged in as my USER, not my root account. Thanks

I bet he wants to access his ntfs windows partions. You'll have to recopile your kernal or do it the easy way and go here http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/index.html

I did it by right clicking on the desktop, going to creat new and the harddisk. If it's the root you might need to tell it not to show mounted harddisk.
