I think I did it.
I typed sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

I then typed.
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Graphics"
Driver "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
End Section

I then pressed Ctrl+x

At the bottom a message ask me for a yes or No . I put Y for yes

I then shout down and restarted.

Nothing has changed changed.

Did I do this correctly?

Forget nano. Type sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf, it will open gedit, so you can easily paste there. The code again:
Code:
Section "Device"
        Identifier "Intel Graphics"
        Driver "intel"
        Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
EndSection
Just copy and paste and reboot. And again, it's EndSection, without a space.

I incorrectly told you, and showed you how I typed it. I did type EndSection and not End Section. I just show you in my post incorrectly.

But I did try again, and when I put the password in a new page came up I did not see before.
Should I continue . This is the page below.

I don't know what I did. But it sure was not correct.

After I finished your instructions, I restarted the computer and had a blue screen with a message that basically said it could not boot. Had something to do with X1. I had no use of the mouse at that point.
Anyway I was in over my head and manually shout down. Tryed to start again and got same results, a blue screen. I then reinstalled Linux 17.3 I did have all files and pitchers saved so it all good.
