can't login

Hey,

Is it possible to reset a new username and password for red hat 9? I got everything installed and during the installation it never asked me for a username, but it did ask me for a password, so I made one and wrote it down, and after installation was complete the login screen comes up and asks for a username and password, I tried using the following as my username:

- localhost
- 3mu180r
- Wrench <-- name of computer

and none of them take.. I made a boot disk, but havent went that route just yet, all help is much appreciated, thanks :D

the system administrator's name on every linux install is root. the password you entered in the setup is for the root account. there are no 'normal' user accounts, you have to create them first. login with root and your password and have fun with linux! note: it seems nice to work as root because of unlimited permissions, but actually this is a bad idea. create a normal user account immediatly and only use the root account when needed!
