can't log in messenger with yahoo account... please help!

once I open my messenger window and its time for me to log in I have my yahoo account ready to go so I key in my password and it never lets me log in. This suddenly started happening. However if I was to log in with an AOL account I can still log in. What can I do to solve this?

I am assuming that somehow the system locked or disable my yahoo account from logging in.

Does not need to be the case...if you can (for example) read your mails, your account is not blocked...

What messenger do you use? Pidgin? If so, you may need to tweak it...

Open the browser, set it to see the invisible stuff, nav to .purple/certificates/X509/tld_peers (the dot in front of "purple" is supposed to be there) and cut-n-paste the contents to somewhere else/safe. This is the backup in case something goes bad and you need to restore this...

Restart Pidgin (I still assume that's the messenger, here) and log back in...

I'll watch this thread, because I'd like to know kow this turns out...

Which messenger are you using?
Do you have the latest version from your messenger?

Kind regards

Thor: I am not sure of how to set to invisible... Or what steps to follow to be honest.

Guru and Thor: I used the preset messenger on the device (Acer, Aspire One). Through it I was able to log in through various messenger forms like aim, msn, and yahoo. It gave me the option to sign on to the simultaneously or individually. The only one i'm able to log into now is aim and I cannot use the camera neither. I Usually used the camera to live chat with family around the globe, but now I can not enven chat with them, at lest not on this device.

the operating system is Linpus Linux Lite v1.0.6.E

I don't know if that helps. I also travel a lot so this laptop is perfect to take with me is supper light and I wanna make sure it works.
