Did you do an md5 checksum on the Zorin iso file to verify the download?
Did you try to install Zorin from a DVD you created?
Did you try to install Zorin from a flash drive? If so, what software did you use to create the bootable flash drive?
How old/new is this computer? Some info on the hardware specs would help, particularly the CPU and RAM.
You make reference to windows in general but give no specific indication that you actually have any version of windows installed and which version it is if you have it, that would help?
Which Installation Type option did you select for the install?
Your operation not permitted is a bit unusual coming from an installation device. I did an online search for it and your post was on the first page so it is uncommon.
I actually had installed Zorin 9 yesterday just as a test and had no problems with it, took about 25 minutes to install. Posting answers to the questions above might help.
