can't install libglut

I'm trying to install torcs but at first when I ./configure'd it said can't find glut.h. I've solved this by searching the file and editing the configure file. when I configured again it said: can't find libglut. I've downloaded the file but I can't install it. Who can help me?

Have got the Xfree86-opengl packages installed on your system? If not,get them from your install cd's or downlad them off the site. You'll need the opengl-devel and static headers besides the opengl core.
