can't get wireless to work

I am having a lot of trouble with this and would appreciate any help. I have been searching google for ways to make this work and every option so far has failed.

I have a

HP dv9010us
dual boot vista/suse 10.3
amd turion64 x2
NVIDIA Go 6150
Broadcom bcm94311 wireless

Linux installed and recognized the card. gave me the bcm43xx drivers. I used the install_bcm43xx_firmware.
the led lights up blue like it's working, I changed it to start on boot up and then when it loads my profile and desktop the light turns off and will not activate the wireless card. I have attempted to use the ndiswrapper removing the bcm43xx drivers and blacklisting the bcm43xx.

attempted to install both bcmw15 and the bcmv15 and both came back as invalid drivers.

Now I want to remove the blacklisting of the bcm43xx and put it back in my kernel but I don't know how nor do I know if that will fix the issue at all. I'm about to forget about trying to troubleshoot it and just reinstall suse and start fresh again. I have made so many changes via the command line I don't think I could get it back to it's original config.

I also did an ifconfig and it didn't list my wireless card at all after I did the rmmode bcm43xx

I also accidently moved my desktop to a folder and then when I tried to move it back it didn't bring back the icons it only put the desktop folder on the desktop. How do I get all of my icons back?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I've already reloaded suse so the issue with the desktop is no longer an issue. In essence I had attempted to move a file on my desktop and when I did, I mistakenly left off the filename and had stopped at /home/jason/Desktop. So it moved the desktop into a separate file. When I went to move it back it put a file on my Desktop called "Desktop" instead of putting my icons back. The icons were in the folder but I couldn't get them to move back onto my Desktop.

Rack it up as a noobie screw up... and a learning experience for me :-(

Still having the problems with my network card but I will try your links later tonight. I don't even want to go into the problems I'm having with my NVIDIA card, when I get frustrated enough I'll post my problems.

Thanks for the response though, I'll let you know if either one of the links you provided turn out to be useful.

Well that didn't work. I followed the directions to install it, light would come on when I booted but when it got to loading the desktop the light went back off and wouldn't come back on.

Got the NVIDIA problems taken care of but still fighting the wireless card.
