Question Can't Get to hdb FC3 Installation

I have the following:

hda - 20 gb WinXP and a new FC3 installation with GRUB dual boot. vfat and ext3
hdb - 200 gb with old FC3 installation ext3
sda - Firewire 200 gb media storage ntfs

I decided to make a clean installation of WinXP on hda; old one was hosed. I was not able to access hdb good FC3 installation after WinXP install. I used FC3 DVD and installed new FC3 on hda using disk druid to make a place for FC3.

hda (new FC3 Install) works OK but very slow unlike earlier hdb install.

I want to return to using hdb as the primary FC3 and return hda to original all WinXP by clean install of WinXP.

I can see hdb's partitions using disk manager and command line but cannot mount or read. I know it is all there and a good installation with data and personalized screens, etc.

Request help in getting this fiasco back to normal again. I hate Windows and I can't tell you how much I hate it, but we will set that rage aside for the moment and get this fixed.

Then I get out the welding torch and look for Billy's Balls.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Dave

It is always a good idea to back up your boot sector, in particular when dual booting with Windows.
Go to http://www.google.com/linux and search for 'restore grub mbr' or 'grub restore howto', this will bring up some useful sites.
