It's been a long while for me using Mandrake and can't seem to get online. I'm running Mandrake 9.1 and trying to get online with Konqueror. I am connected to the internet through a LAN with a Linksys router. I also cant see my Linux box from my Win box. What am I doing wrong or what didn't I do correctly? Thanks all.
Yeah I ran it but there were a couple of things that confused me. My ISP is wideopenwest and I'm not sure if I'm configuring my host name and other settings correctly. I'm in the Konsole now and when I tried to ping my other machines, I got an error saying "Network is unreachable". Any suggestions?
I know when I kept getting that I went in and entered my DSL router for my gateway and made my protocol DHCP. I don't know if this is going to help you.
K guys, good looking out. I dont know who helped the most but the problem is solved. I changed the NIC, used your suggestions and went throught the setup again and WALLAH! All is good. Thanks to all who helped and to those that didnt. LOL
