can't find x includes
Hi, I'm a newbie having an issue with installing kplayer.
My distro is Kubuntu 5.04 and ./configure gave me this error message: checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths! I read some posts in which people were having similar problems but I didn't know how to apply it to myself or how to go about trying to fix the problem. Any help greatly appreciated! |
The meaning of the message is that you don't have package with X include files. In my Debian it's x-dev. As yours is Debian-based, there's a chance very similar name. Look if you have the package on your instalaltion cd and install it.

Thanks I'll try it out and see how it goes :)
