can't figure out how to mount windows xp on fedora
hey guys, i was trying to figure out how to mount my windows xp partion under linux, but i can't seem to find it anywhere. when i go to /mnt/ there is nothing there. So i went to
kdisk free and for some reason i don't even see my windows xp partion there. there is the following /DEV/VOLGROUP00/LOGVOL00 EXT3 N/A / O N/A (NOTHING UNDER USAGE) /DEV/HDA AUTO N/A /MEDIACDRECORDER 0 (NOTHING UNDER USAGE /DEV/HDB2 ? 98.7MB /BOOT 78.7MB 20.3% FULL DEV/MAPPPER/VOLGROUP00-LOGVOL00 ? 15.5gb / 12.4GB 20.3% FULL I KNOW THIS LOOKS A LITTLE SLOPPY, BUT I'M TOTALLY LOST. IT DETECTS MY USB DEVISE WHICH USES FVAT (I DIDN'T LIST IT ABOVE) BUT NOT THE XP PARITION. THE XP PARTIION IS 60GB, AND I SEE NOTHING ON HERE EVEN CLOSE, ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ? |
What filesystem is it?
If the filesystem is NTFS, you need to first install the NTFS kernel module and then mount it manually or at boot. You can run "/sbin/fdisk -l" to see which partition it's on. |
