Can't eject CD/DVD

I bought this month's Linux Format magazine and inserted the double-sided DVD into my DVD-ROM, browsed a little and then when I tried to remove it to flip the disk over...I can't. When I press the physical button nothing happens and when I do this,

uholtz@deb:~$ sudo umount /media/dvdrecorder/
umount: /media/dvdrecorder: device is busy
umount: /media/dvdrecorder: device is busy
The drive is not active/reading...

Perhaps it is YOU that is making the dvd busy.

Same problem, umount -l worked for me. Man says:

Lazy unmount. Detach the filesystem from the filesystem hierarchy now, and cleanup all references to the filesystem as soon as it is not busy anymore. (Requires kernel 2.4.11 or later.)

Thanks rylan76, I read the man entry but failed to understand what it meant. Now, of course, it makes sense.
