It's my first time using linux mandriva 2009, i connect to the internet by a speed touch modem, through a pppoe connection using a user name and password, but i can't seem to connect the the internet, evethough i made the connection and still can't connect, the ethernet connection is connected, but the pppoe is not.... i get the message "no medium found" don't know if that is related to this problem???? please help, after i do this i can DUMP Windows for ever....

i deleted pppoe connection a zillion times and tried making the connection, but still can't connect to the internet, the ethernet connection is working but the pppoe connection isn't... still got no clue what is wrong... how can i use raspppoe?! thanx for taking the time to help i tried in windows everything is ok there....!!
