Can't burn Linux Mandriva 2006 to CD's, please help!
Hello all.
For a couple of days, I've been trying to burn 64bit Mandriva 2006 to CDROM (and all 3 on CD) but they wont boot when I restart my computer for installation. I've been using Nero 7 trial, and I've tryed burning the ISO's to Regular data cd/dvd's, and bootable data cd/dvd. None have worked so far. I've burned Mandrake 10.1 about a year ago on a different program, I forget which. Anyway, I'm not able to get mandriva 2006 to burn onto CD's for me to install it. Any help would be much appreciated! |
make sure nero isn't burning faster than 8 (4 is best).
(If you already have a version of mandrivia or other linux installed, then try burning the iso to CD with cdrecord.) Once a cd is burned, mount it. Also try a checksum. Try to boot from the CD - how far does the boot process get before it stops? What was the last message? Any error messages? Or does the thing just spin and do nothing? |
This may seem obvious, but have you checked your BIOS to insure that it is set to allow boot from CD?
