Can't Boot Linux

I have Novell's Suse installed on a partition, and had a broken windows also. When i reinstalled XP, it decided to overwrite GRUB and now I do not know how to load linux. I have tried both the novell internet installation cd, and a grub loader, but i'm too much of a newbie to know what to do. Any help would be great.

Thank you,
ishbo4

basically what you have to do is reinstall GRUB into the MBR (master boot record)

When you reinstalled windows, it wrote ntloader (window's bootloader) into the MBR. You should be able to reinstall grub from whatever installiation CD you used to install SuSE in the first place.

Also check out something like the "Ultimate Boot CD" http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

If you put GRUB on a floppy during the Linux install, then it dodges bullets like this.

If you do not care about XP, the linux CD should have a rescue option
that will reinstall grub, so you can boot again linux.

If you are after a dual boot this might help
