can't add users on slackware

Thanks for helping. When i log in as root i type adduser at the command line just after you log in, it says command not found but on the guide i got it says to type adduser. Also i dont know how to get to the GUI after i log in as root.

don't have any idea about your first problem of adding user.

to get to GUI type
#startx

the X-window may or may not start. All depends on the configuration of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
So first of all you just give it try typing #startx.
If it doesn't take you to the GUI then
#xorgconfig
and then fetch the appropriate entries there...
