Cadega vs. WineHQ

Can anyone tell me exactly the difference between Cadega and WineHQ? The only thing I know so far is that WineHQ is some kinda Windows API for running all ms based software (and it's free) and Cadega is only for a couple of games, (and it's not free)...
If the above ís the difference between those two, please tell me then what the difference is between the CVS for Cadega (free) and Cadega itself (not-free), and you might tell me as well why to chose Cadega (CVS) above WineHQ..
Another question: what's exactly WineX http://cvs.transgaming.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/winex/ ?

Thanks in advance

Cedega concentrates on running games, Wine is a general purpose API layer for all sorts of windows software.
WineX is what Cedega used to be called.

WineHQ doesn't handle Directx. Cedega is supposed to do this but Transgaming mostly only support the top 5 EA Games and HL2. I'd consider paying if it supported any of my favorite games (non-braindeadshooters mostly).
