cable bb web connect mandrake 9.2
 

i have installed mandrake 9.2 but cannot to the INTERNET via my BB router
i have tried to configure through wizard and no joy

do your router uses dhcp ?

Was it a GUI wizard or was it in command line using netconfig as root?

Also, what kind of NIC are you using? Do you have the module installed for it? To check for module, type lsmod in command line or terminal to see what modules you have loaded. Can you ping the router's IP?

it was a gui wizard and the nic is recognised

if you active this.. it is very easy..

Try being a bit more verbose.

What kind of router, what kind of NIC, what module is loaded, can you ping the router, did you try netconfig, have you searched on www.google.com/linux for specifics for your hardware, have you searched LQ for similar issues, have you checked your connections, have you entered your dhcp server name/ip address correctly, etc. etc. etc.?
