Business Email Hosting Name@Company Suggestions

The hosting we're using now is starting to not work out too

good.

They were okay at the beginning now we loathe calling them.

Thanks!

You don't provide much information.

Do your business have a web hosting provider? If so, you should be able to obtain mail service for your domain via your hosting provider. Otherwise, please provide some information to flesh out the details of this issue.

Thanks.

With Gsuite now.

No ads. That is important to us.A necessity.

$8/mo EACH.Site hosting w/business email.Name@business.com

We only do one.$8/mo Second email aliases both ways.It is kind of okay.

Called Godaddy.$10/mo BUT $50/yr if you prepay.

Site hosting and email for two individual acc'ts.

Yeah. We can’t compete with GoDaddy. We’ll host one domain with two mailboxes for $30/month to start...more if more than 10GB of disk space is needed...

We like to point out “You get what you pay for” ;)

Sir

Two problems in your post.

Told the kid at Godaddy 'Here is a lesson in life.NEVER put down the competition. It just

introduces a negative to the situation.Bad salesmanship.

2 Sounds like you are soliciting. This is the last place on earth I expected that.

The Linux crowd used to be mostly intellectual types of very high character.

That is why I come here to ask certain kinds of questions.

I hope this is a misunderstanding.

I wasn’t soliciting, exactly...that would be a violation of the LQ rules...nor was I putting down GoDaddy. We can’t compete with them because we can’t offer services at their price point. We don’t have 10 gazillion customers to spread the costs over. That doesn’t imply any fault with them.
I was providing a price point for comparison. We’re very small, but we’re very good.

GoDaddy are likely one of the better choices for your business. You should also look at 1and1, bluehost, hostgator, rackspace and several others you can find by putting “web hosting providers” into your favorite search engine. Most, if not all, will be less expensive than we are.

You asked for recommendations. I recommended me, because that’s what I do. I’m a web hosting provider. I did it while also pointing out I’m relatively expensive.

In my experience, the “Linux crowd” is pretty much the same as any other group. The LQ crowd, on the othe hand, is as you characterized it...mostly.

So yes. A misunderstanding. Perhaps someone else will jump in with a meaningful recommendation for you.
Have you checked for reviews on Yelp? ;)

slackwarenewbee 04-02-2019 12:18 AM

Thank you for the recommendations.

I believe the flight museum is near you.

Could you go look at it and tell me about it?:)

Passed by it about a hundred times and never had time to look at it.

Did find out it was 6 miles from highway and that is as close as ever got to seeing it.

Had some fun in the general area though. That stretch of 10 or 40 east or west of it is hellish

though.Narrow and almost always congested.Ridiculous.

Re #7. Happy to chat about Tusean and the Pima Air Museum, but not in a technical forum.
Open a thread in the General forum for that.

Oh boy! Intellectually stimulating conversion (forum style).

I will go take a look see.

Help me forget about my hosting woes.

Thanks!

I used to use 1and1 (for personal stuff, as I do not own a business). Only reason I left them is cost; it kept creping up. So, yes they have special rates when you sign up and when the term ends, price goes up, and then up again...

At my previous job, we used register.com (only for domain name registration), which I had to call couple of times, and they were quick (little to no hold). I did not get bounced around, and anyone I talked to was knowledgeable enough to answer questions.
