Burning the .iso images.

Ok I have read all day today and last night, went through the distro's read all the reviews here and at the sites of the creators and have decided on Mandrake 10.0 as the linux I would like to install. I am downloading as we speak, my question is can I just burn onto a cd with my nero program or do I need some software geared towards Linux?

Thanks eh!
LipSkidr.

no, any decent cd-burning software will work; doesnt matter what type of data your burning. nero will work perfect, just click 'new' , select 'cd rom (iso)' and select the iso to burn. if your using nero 6, when you drag/drop the .iso onto the compilation, a message will show up asking you to stop now and simply burn the image to the cd, select yes, and your all set.

you can not just burn it on to a disk like a regular file on a data disk. However it is just as easy if you know what you are doing. You need to select burn image. This will take the iso file and make it into a bunch of folders and files. These are the files that should be on the disk. After you make all of your disks then put in the install disk and boot from your CD drive to start the installation.

Edit: oops a bit late
